Snow lines that change with the seasons are survival boundaries for flora and fauna on the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau, where most organisms are daunted by the harsh environment. However, Saussurea medusa strives to interpret the tenacity of life. It has prepared almost eight years for one gorgeous bloom, growing into a beautiful plant in the last three to four months.
Even in summer, plants must embrace volatile weather of the high elevations. Colorful plants are scattered across the land, attracting diverse wild animals to enjoy a floral feast.
