Back in May 2020, James Kimonyo, the Rwandan Ambassador to China, joined an online live streaming event where he sold nearly 1.5 tons of Rwanda coffee beans in mere seconds-before he’d even finished introducing the products.
This impressive feat equaled Rwanda’s total coffee bean sales from the previous year.
The 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE), scheduled from Nov. 5 to 10 in Shanghai, provides a unique platform for companies worldwide to display their products, promote their bands, and build more business connections in the world’s second largest economy.
Among the exhibitors is Andrew Gatera, who is committed to expanding the reach of Rwanda coffee in the Chinese market.
After witnessing the enthusiastic reception of his products last year, he’s returning to CIIE with the goal of strengthening connections and securing more significant deals.
