To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of Sunan Yugur Autonomous County, a horse racing event was held at the Suolangge Racecourse in Zhangye City, Gansu Province. Riders from 21 ethnic groups in the county and representative teams from the surrounding provinces and cities, along with over 1,000 riders dressed in festive ethnic costumes, rode 486 horses and 72 camels on the racetrack to compete in ethnic sports such as horse racing and camel racing. The horses’ hooves flew high above the track, and the crowd cheered and shouted incessantly. The intense competition provided a stunning visual feast for tens of thousands of spectators.
