The exhibits displayed in the Exhibition of Diplomatic Gifts Received by China’s Leaders being held in Beijing comprise the gifts presented by the leaders and officials of various countries to their Chinese counterparts, representing the cultural backgrounds of where they come from. In the first episode of the “Gifts of Friendship” series, we look at two gifts presented by Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly to Chinese President Xi Jinping, featuring the famous pharaoh Tutankhamun.
