As it swirls amid desert sands, Aiken Spring mesmerizes bystanders.

Also known as the “Devil’s Eye,” this natural wonder in the Gobi Desert in Haixi Prefecture, northwest China’s Qinghai Province, bubbles up water with a high sulfur content, rendering the land around it barren.

A palette of reddish brown, golden yellow and rust colors emerge in the soft autumn sunshine, drawing visitors to a stunning, oil painting-like landscape.
