China Media Group (CMG) presented the latest developments on its national 5G new media platform, Yangshipin, highlighting efforts to explore new opportunities, innovate and promote growth across emerging business formats at a press conference in Beijing on Wednesday.
CMG President Shen Haixiong attended the event along with Wu Weishan, director of the National Art Museum of China, and Wang Jian, an academic at the Chinese Academy of Engineering and president of Zhejiang Lab. Tan Jianrong, an academic at the Chinese Academy of Engineering and a mechanical engineering expert, was also present.
Since the start of this year, Yangshipin has actively pursued opportunities in new industries and explored emerging fields, launching a range of high-quality programs and large-scale events, said Peng Jianming, a member of CMG’s editorial board and general manager of the General Manager’s Office.
The platform now has the largest viewership among new media live broadcast platforms for the Paris Olympics, with its communication reach, influence and brand strength growing significantly, according to Peng.
The platform plans to continue producing high-quality content in areas such as new quality productive forces, education, music, short dramas and film, Peng said. Yangshipin is committed to driving new development and reaching milestones by combining ideas, artistic expression, and technology.
The innovative programs produced by the platform include a large-scale documentary venture capital program that provides a broad platform for entrepreneurs to showcase their talents by offering services for investment and financing. Meanwhile, an AI short drama centered on the “Monkey King” features a creative adaptation that incorporates elements like the Monkey King and Mount Huaguo, focusing on the growth journey of this superhero in the classic Chinese novel “Journey to the West.”
Additionally, “Music Tour,” China’s first AI-based outdoor music micro-variety show, uses advanced AI music generation technology to blend traditional folk music, folk songs and symphony with modern pop music to create new works.
