Chinese Premier Li Qiang presided over a State Council executive meeting on Friday, where attendees discussed the current economic situation and the implementation of various incremental policies.

The meeting also considered measures to promote the high-quality development of the ice and snow sports industry and deliberated on a draft revision to the national natural science fund regulation.

Emphasizing the importance of achieving the annual economic growth target, the meeting highlighted the need to further implement a package of incremental policies, conduct timely policy assessments and improvements, and intensify counter-cyclical regulation to enhance the effectiveness of macro-control.

Participants stressed the interactions between policies and the market, calling for the mobilization of all parties to invigorate growth momentum.

Additionally, the meeting outlined measures to stimulate the vitality of the ice and snow economy, advocating for the popularization of ice and snow sports and enhancing the industrial chain to create a new growth point.

Finally, the meeting approved a draft revision to the national natural science fund regulation, urging increased funding for major original and interdisciplinary innovation projects and encouraging greater participation from social forces in basic research.
