Hundreds of distinguished guests from China and abroad have gathered together in Beijing for the 2024 Beijing Culture Forum, which has the theme of “Enhance Culture Exchanges for Common Progress” this year.
During the event, which consists of a major forum, 6 sub-forums and dozens of professional seminars, a wide range of topics will be discussed, such as mutual learning between civilizations, spiritual life and industrial development, as well as the protection and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage.
A series of cultural activities will also be held during the forum, including performances at the Beijing Performing Arts Center, investor conferences on the cultural industry, and cultural dialogues between Chinese and foreign young people. As part of a series of activities organized for the forum, the “Temple of Earth and Me” book fair has opened in Beijing’s Ditan Park.
First held in 2022, the Beijing Culture Forum aims to build itself into a platform for elevating the influence of Chinese culture around the world while implementing China’s Global Civilizations Initiative, and promoting exchanges and mutual learning between China and foreign nations.
The forum will run until September 21.
